New born dies due to absence of a doctor

Nizamabad: A Newborn died after a supervisor helps in woman delivery in a hospital in Nizamabad in the absence of a doctor. On Friday, a woman was admitted to Kammarpalli government hospital after she developed labour pains. As the doctor was not present in the hospital, a supervisor attended the woman and helped in the delivery.

Due to the negligence of him, the newborn died minutes after the woman delivered the baby. The relatives of the woman staged a protest at the hospital demanding action against the hospital staff. In a similar incident, a male nurse helped in the delivery of a woman in the absence of a doctor in a hospital in West Godavari following which the newborn died.
