Telangana Pradesh Congress Committe (TPCC) working president A. Revanth Reddy, who was contesting from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat, today sought the support of the CPI in the upcoming elections. He met with CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy and urged him to extend their party support to him. Venkat Reddy agreed to do so. Addressing a joint press conference later, the CPI State Secretary called upon his party leaders and workers to work for the victory of Revanth Reddy. He said they were extending support to secular political parties as part of their slogan “BJP Hatao and Desh Bachao”. He also said they were going ahead with an objective to defeat both the BJP and TRS.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy said he sought support of the CPI to take on the “feudal rule” of CM KCR. He said the CPI has a huge presence in Malkajgiri and added that the support of the left party would help him win the seat. Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Revanth alleged that the two “feudal” leaders were like the two sides of the same coin. He also claimed that KCR had extended complete support to all acts of the BJP during the last five years. He told voters that all those who vote in favor of KCR were nothing but a vote for the BJP. He said there was no role for KCR to play at the national level. He likened CM KCR to the popular Telugu film character “Gachibowli Diwakar and added that the TRS Leader was no less than a joker in national politics.
