On the third day after P. Pranay Kumar’s murder, a new development has come up. Allegedly, the brain behind the Dalit man’s murder was a history-sheeter called Abdul Bari from Nalgonda. He was earlier convicted in former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya’s case in 2003.  Police are suspecting that around nine to 10 members were involved directly or indirectly in the case. The police have booked a murder case on T. Maruthi Rao and his brother T. Sravan.

However, sources revealed that Miryalaguda Congress leader Mohammed Kareem, the suspected killer Shafi and others who were involved in the murder have been taken into custody.Reportedly, Maruthi Rao was planning to murder Pranay for a long time. As part of this plan, he contacted Mohammed Kareem and they approached Abdul Bari.

Senior Congress leader K. Jana Reddy said, “We have suspended Kareem three hours after his name came up in the murder case.” He urged all leaders not to get involved in such heinous crimes. The police should give protection to all the couples who opt for inter-caste love marriages, he said.
