Gutha Sukender Reddy new chairman of TRRSS chief

Hyderabad: Gutha Sukender Reddy on Monday assumed charge as chairman of Telangana Rashtra Rythu Samanvaya Samithi at the Agriculture Commission office in the presence of Ministers and other public representatives.

After taking charge, Sukender Reddy thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and other Cabinet Ministers for giving him an opportunity to serve Telangana farmers. He said he will work tirelessly to make the agriculture sector number one in the country. He expressed confidence that the Chief Minister’s dream of making the sector a profitable venture will be achieved soon.

Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said the main objective behind the Farmers Association of Coordination Committees (FACCs) was to bring unity among farmers. Rythu Vedikalu (farmers’ platforms) will be constructed soon in 2,638 places in the State at a cost of Rs 300 crore in the first phase, he said.

The Minister urged the FACC members at all levels to participate in all agriculture-related programmes starting from providing seeds to procuring crop at Minimum Support Price (MSP). He also wanted FACC members to ensure cordial coordination with Agriculture Extension Officers (AEOs).

Ministers K T Rama Rao, Indrakaran Reddy, Jagadish Reddy and Naini Narshimha Reddy congratulated the new chairman and wished him all success.
