Hyderabad: Police has confirmed that Monster.com telecaller Sunitha committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after her boyfriend rejected her on Valentine's Day. Police said that since her boyfriend Sravan has forced her to commit suicide he will be arrested.

Police analysed around 60 CCTV cameras. Madhapur ACP M. Ramana Kumar said on Tuesday that initially the case was booked as a murder case, but Sunitha's call records and WhatsApp chat history and the opinion of forensic experts proved that Sunitha had committed suicide.

He said that at the spot where Sunitha’s charred body was found police recovered the lid of a plastic container. Analysis of CCTV cameras showed Sunitha moving near a prayer centre in Muthangi carrying a heavy plastic container.

On February 10, she sent a message to Sravan on WhatsApp saying that she will commit suicide if he did not meet her on February 14. “He sent messages to her saying that he is engaged to another girl and is not bothered even if she committed suicide,” the ACP said.Police found that Sravan had proposed to Sunitha in 2011, while they were working together as telecallers for Justdial.com. But since a year Sravan started avoiding her saying that he was engaged to another girl, but Sunitha insisted that he should marry her.

Police found that Sravan had trapped around five girls last year alone and had trapped another girl on shaadi.com. “He used to trap girls promising love and collect money from them.He sexually exploited some girls and dumped them. However no one complained against him,” they said. Police has prepared a 600-page file of their WhatsApp messages. The police has launched a hunt for Sravan who is absconding.
